Ikea profits on the rise due to Expats

Four of us go to Ikea, three of us buy plants, 1 of us buys a chair, 1 of us buys a floor lamp, all of us have yellow bags fully loaded and
all of us have to figure out how we are going to get it all in one car.

THESE BAGS CONTAIN SIMILAR ITMES TO ALL THAT STUFF I GAVE AWAY BEFORE WE MOVED.

Fasnacht Parade in Luzern

This parade showcased floats with the Pope, Barbie, and Khadafy
They also had a float with a man throwing shoes at President Bush. Wasn't quick enough to capture that one on film.

I had a nightmare last night about giant Barbies.
To me they were the scariest of all.
There were about ten of these creatures on the float.

Dirty Thursday

They were so cute.

I am not sure what the kids in white suits are?

There was also another set of kids in white with white bathing caps on their heads. Reminded me of characters from an old Woody Allen movie.

The Kids

I didn't get the whole hospital theme.
The picture I didn't capture was of a boy on a stretcher having convulsions while doctors were trying to restrain him.
The kid deserves some kind of acting award. He was that good!

Dirty Thursday in Zug

More fun at the parade.
The woman with the mask just got back from the carnival in Venice.
Her mask was beautiful.

Dirty Thursday in Zug

Today was the kids parade so these masks are pretty tame.

There will be adult parades over the weekend.

I am not sure what this guy was supposed to be or why he is in the picture.

Dirty Thursday in Zug

One of many marching bands.
Yes I had to get into the act. Wish I had a costume.

With my friends Debbie and Lorraine and a young man in a blue dress.

Wish I had my camera

I walked to the gym this morning with a marching band. The band was dressed in bright costumes and had blue paint smeared all over their faces.

It is the begining of carnival and there will be parades and festivals all over Switzerland.
Check in later for pictures.

Zugerberg

Zugerberg is a ten minute tram ride or a one hour walk from our house.
Bruce and I try out our fancy walking sticks (target) last Sunday.
There are beautiful veiws of Lake Zug, many trails for cross country skiing and nordic walking.
We hear that it is a great place for hiking in the summer as well.

Looks like we will have plenty of time to try out some other winter activities. It has not stopped snowing since Saturday.

Walking to work

When we are living in Hawaii Bruce can laugh about this.
At least he doesn't have to drive in it.

Salem Torture

We just had to throw him out in the snow.
He came back for my scarf.

Ikea Project Complete

I just might have to buy some more Ikea furniture for Bruce to assemble.
He looks so happy.
